Why I Love: SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Leave-in Conditioner

After using this product for a year now I wanted to give you all a thorough review of the SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil leave-in as my previous review was a first impressions. LINK

DISCLAIMER: Everyone has results that are different but this is my honest opinion of the product.
SheaMoisture was first introduced to me by
SunKissAlba on YouTube she spoke so highly of the brand and it's ingredients and as a new transitioner I saw that the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from the Coconut & Hibiscus line was a must have for styling! So far I have tested out the following products from the brand,
Curl and Style Milk                        10-in-1 Renewal Masque                            Dry Scalp Elixir
     Curl Enhancing Smoothie                           Conditioner

Strengthen Shampoo                    Deep Treatment Masque                        Anti-Breakage Masque
       Leave-in Conditioner                   Extra Moisture Detangler

They do not have many leave-in conditioners but out of the ones I have tried they really got it right with                 the JBCO leave-in which brings me on too why I love it so much!

The size of the packaging is everything! If you are like me who has naturally very thick and dry hair then you will appreciate that this product comes with a lot of the leave-in! Even larger than the usual SheaMoisture masques. The size also means that it lasts longer (Saving you more pennies!) For example in the past year I have bought this product 4 times (Around £40 a year) for a great leave-in I think that's a great deal!

I am not the only one who agrees that this leave-in even though it is very thin and watery is a staple for moisture! Used on my mothers curly hair who has very loose curls she also found that it moisturised her hair well. Never heard a complaint so far!

This however isn't the greatest styler as you may need some extra definition I would recommend adding on top a cream like the curl enhancing smoothie or a gel that you enjoy using if you want to create a flawless up-do or curly hairstyle.

I haven't yet found a dupe to this product! The consistency is just perfect! The Kinky Curly Knot Today is also an amazing detangler/leave-in but it is a bit thicker and gel like compared to this product which is very watery! If you have very dry hair this is for you without a doubt.

Some have mentioned that this product leaves some flakes on the hair. I haven't myself experienced this but I would suggest to seal the leave-in with an oil like Coconut oil which could help!

For all of the curlies/naturals out there I highly recommend to try out this leave-in as the first step after washing your hair and then use whatever gel, cream, styler that you like after. (It can also be used alone if your hair prefers).

Have you tried this product? Let me know your thoughts!
